 Caroline's Corner

Due to all that has happened and is going on in the world, I’m one U.S. citizen who's more appreciative than ever of my freedoms, family and friends.  In fact, as part of that connection to family, my parents, myself, my six siblings, spouses, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will likely gather this year at Temple Resort, Lake Ozark, Mo for a long summer weekend of conversations, walks, barbecues, golf games, fishing contests and Saturday-night bumper cars on the “strip”.

At some point in our summer festivities, the whole clan will line up for ice cream -- with my parents picking up the tab, just like they have for over 25 years.

Like our country, my family endures!  This year, like every year, we’ll share tears and prayers of joy, celebration and sadness for all we’ve lost and gained since last we gathered on the water.

Hope to stay in touch,
