Mavericks -- Part-time Employment Opportunities

 

 

Ushers – Greet fans and guide them to their seat location.  Provide friendly, courteous, helpful, fast and efficient service in a professional manner.

 

Ticket Takers – Greet fans and tear all ticket stubs as customers enter the stadium.  Responsible for accurate accounting for, and separation of, ticket stubs for aid in attendance reporting.

 

Ticket Sellers – Prepare and sell all available event-day tickets.  Distribute advance tickets to customers at the Will Call window.  Must have a solid knowledge of the seating manifest and any special ticket-related promotions.  Maintain ticket inventories and money collected at each event.  Assist in reconciling ticket inventory.  Must possess good math and number skills.

 

Security – Keep a watchful eye for potential problems during each event and any outside food and beverages that may enter the ballpark.  Help fans with questions, complaints or problems.  Be highly visible.  Maintain communication with on-duty Police Officers.

 

Program Sellers – Sell all souvenir programs, scorecards and related materials during each game.  Maintain inventory.  Reconcile inventory with money collected.  Must possess good math and number skills.

 

Mascots – Responsible for welcoming and entertaining fans at the gate and on the concourse prior to game time, signing autographs and having pictures taken with fans at the autograph booth.  Entertain fans throughout each game in the grandstands and with skits performed on the field.  Must display a courteous professional image at all times and be accessible to fans throughout all areas of the ballpark with an emphasis on fun, wholesome, family entertainment. 

 

Starlets – Serve as official hostesses of the team and Taylor Stadium.  Greet fans as they enter the ballpark and distribute all promotional giveaway items.  Sign autographs and have pictures taken with fans at the autograph booth.  Participate in and assist with pre-game ceremonies and on-field contests.  Take water to the umpires and sweep the bases as directed.  Participate in birthday party celebrations.

 

Customer Service Representatives – Assist management with customer service issues by manning a booth at the stadium.  Serve as a liaison to security and management for all fans with questions, complaints or problems.  Must possess strong customer service skills.  Be able to make quick, sound decisions with a professional attitude.  Provide quick and courteous service to fans.  Hand out prizes to each lucky winner.

 

Souvenir Attendants – Assist with the sale of merchandise during each event.  Must have thorough product knowledge.  Assist management in post-event inventory reports.  Must posses good math and number skills.  Provide excellent customer service.

 

Bat Boys – Responsible for getting the dugout area ready prior to game.  Bring out bats, helmets, weights, pine tar, water coolers, ice, etc.  During the game, responsible for picking up the bats used and left at home plate, retrieving foul balls that stay on the playing field and taking water and new baseballs to the umpires.
